LG will launch the world's first LCD monitor with a 21:9 aspect ratio, the 29-inch EA93, in Korea later this month.
If you've been following the LCD monitor scene, you'll know that not much has been happening lately in terms of innovation in format and resolution. Demanding users can choose between a 27-inch or a 30-inch panel -- and that's it.
We've seen the ultrawide, 21:9 aspect ratio used in several TV sets -- some of which are available in the U.S. -- but never for an LCD monitor.
